He has strong leadership skills, unique strategic vision, and a high corporate IQ. He has expert-level knowledge of federal contracting regulations and small business programs. The breadth of his experience and depth of his expertise make him highly effective throughout the entire BD lifecycle. He routinely speaks at industry events, conducts podcasts, and provides formal training on government contracting best practices. He also leads ENcompass's Business Development Area of Expertise, advising clients on strategies and best practices to facilitate organizational growth.

CARLY NUSBAUM
PRESIDENT
Carly has 25 years of experience in all aspects of business operations and management. She has overseen the operations of organizations including government contractors, non-profit organizations, and consulting firms. She specializes in leading small businesses and start-ups in the federal contracting market, helping them streamline their operations to maximize efficiency and high quality delivery. She oversees ENcompass's GSA Schedules Area of Expertise, leveraging her vast knowledge of the GSA's Federal Supply Schedule program as well as the SBA's small business programs. She also leads all of ENcompass's corporate operations, accounting, human resources, technology, and regulatory compliance.

DANIEL ABERNATHY
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Daniel is a Chief Growth Officer and government contracting executive with more than 2 decades of experience leading market strategy, capture, and execution across Civilian and Health agencies. His broad expertise spans roles including sales, business development, and P&L leadership. He has engineered practical growth frameworks rooted in disciplined market research, customer relationships, and clear decision gates. Under his leadership, he grew a federal portfolio by more than $50M, improved delivery accountability through PMO discipline, and helped clients identify mission-aligned AI modernization opportunities. He leads ENcompass’s Business Development Area of Expertise, partnering with clients of all sizes to clarify direction, simplify execution, and institutionalize what works to consistently achieve results over a long-term.

Michelle brings over 20 years of experience running quality, compliance, and audits in government contracting and high-accountability environments. She has expertise managing implementations and readiness efforts for a wide range of corporate certifications. She advises executives and operational leaders on how to align day-to-day business practices to certification frameworks. She partners with clients to reduce risk, strengthen operational consistency, and achieve certifications that facilitate corporate growth. Her credentials include: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 20000 Lead Auditor, ISO 27001 Internal Auditor, CMMI Appraisal Team Member, and CMMC Registered Practitioner. She leads ENcompass’s Corporate Certifications Area of Expertise, overseeing teams of SMEs to help clients quickly obtain certifications and also help clients maintain their certifications.

Kayla is a leading expert at strategic capture, proposal management, color reviews, full lifecycle competitive bid development, and cost and pricing for government proposals. She has over 20 years of professional experience in progressively increasing responsibilities. She is adept at analyzing and presenting multifaceted information, advanced problem solving, relationship building, and collaboration. She also has a keen understanding of the Federal market, having held roles at NASA and OPM’s Federal Executive Institute. She has worked directly with a wide range of Senior Executive-level Federal employees, government contractors, and educational institutions. She leads ENcompass's Capture & Proposals Area of Expertise, providing fully outsourced capture and proposal support to clients -- achieving win rates that are 3 times higher than industry averages!

Amanda is a trusted authority in GWAC and IDIQ contract management, with nearly 20 years of relevant experience. She brings a rare blend of operational insight and strategic leadership across contract compliance, capture and proposal management, quality control, practice management, and professional training. Additionally, she is certified in the ISO 9001 and CMMI frameworks. She is known for her collaborative leadership style, problem-solving skills, and ability to translate complex contract requirements into actionable business practices. As the lead for ENcompass’s Contract Management Area of Expertise, she partners with clients to strengthen post-award contract execution, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement efficient business processes that support corporate growth initiatives.
