Position Description:


This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, as part of a highly successful and growing business. This position will assist in various aspects of proposal development, supporting a wide range of efforts throughout the full lifecycle of bids. This position will support clients as needed, including both on-site and off-site work. Some travel may be required.


Candidate must be a quick learner, have a strong attention to detail, and be adept at following directions to ensure client satisfaction. Candidate must be comfortable working in teams—including direct interaction with client personnel, other consultants, and teammates. Candidate must also be flexible to accommodate a varying workload and schedule.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand government documents, client proposals, and related materials

  • Help create proposal documents such as storyboards, outlines, response templates, and compliance matrices

  • Coordinate dates, times, locations, and attendees for meetings, as needed

  • Help develop meeting agendas and presentations

  • Collect and submit any requests for clarification (Q&A)

  • Send and receive data requests to teammates

  • Record and distribute minutes from regular proposal status meetings

  • Attend proposal strategy sessions, win theme development, technical solution working groups, color reviews and debriefs, etc.

  • Identify relevant content from prior proposals and/or perform copy editing, as needed

  • Facilitate the development and revision of proposal graphics

  • Perform document formatting and/or desktop publishing, as needed

  • Assist with proposal printing and production


Mandatory Qualifications:


  • Bachelors Degree or comparable experience

  • Proficient in writing, editing, and document formatting

  • Skilled with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail

  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills to meet strict deadlines


Optional Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of professional writing experience

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Experience with graphics development tools, such as the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Knowledge of the FAR and the Federal contracting industry

  • APMP and/or Shipley certification

  • Secret Clearance or higher
